WHO WE ARE
At Gold Medal Gear we live and breathe wrestling. Our founder, Joe Betterman is a retired world renowned Greco Roman wrestler with a handful of awards and titles. His vision is to utilize his wrestling knowledge and experience to outfit teams and individuals with genuine high quality gear.

From our singlets to our backpacks, our athletes can be confident knowing they are representing their sport in genuine high-quality gear made specifically for them. While we are located in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO, we don’t let location get in the way. Near or far, we are happy and excited to help outfit your team.
JOE BETTERMAN
Joe's love for wrestling began his freshman year in high school. While this was a bit later than most, he didn't let his late start get in the way. Throughout his career he achieved such titles as two time Jr. National Champion and four time Senior National Champion as well as a handful of others. He also experienced loss and setbacks, but instead of letting them define him, he learned from them and became a better, stronger wrestler and person.
Though Joe is no longer competing, wrestling is and always will course through his veins. He is passionate about promoting the sport and doing what he can to support wrestlers in their pursuit of greatness. Producing high-quality genuine gear is also one of the ways he has discovered he can give back to a sport that has given him so much.
On a personal note, Joe is married to fellow former teammate Deanna (Rix). They have three beautiful children and are the proud owners of the Betterman Elite Wrestling program which has three locations in Colorado.
